Alongside our annual awards including volunteer of the year and mentor of the year, to mark our 10th anniversary we introduced a new award, the ‘Decade of Impact’ award, in recognition of individuals that have supported us since our inception, helped to champion our work, and mobilised support from others.
Our exceptional co-hosts at each hub – Alfredon, Laiba, Maryam and Amaal, many of whom are programme alumni – led us through the events with great enthusiasm, and a highlight for many guests was their energy and openness as they shared their personal experiences with EY Foundation.
The scale of what we’ve already achieved is brilliant, but as we were reminded by EY Foundation CEO, Lynne Peabody, it’s important to remember the individuals behind the numbers. At each hub, we had alumni guest speakers, Onivaha, Asma, Danial and Kristina, share their reflections and showcase the impact of our programmes.
The biggest benefit was that I was able to enhance my employability skills such as time management, adaptability, alongside being able to network with individuals from different diverse backgrounds [...] Not only would I like to say thanks to the EY Foundation team, but also to supporters and outside employers who have worked with the EY Foundation. If it wasn’t for your help we wouldn’t be here today.
At each event, we announced winners across 11 different potential categories. You can see our regional winners below:
From this strong group of brilliant regional winners, we identified our national winners – those who have made a significant impact in supporting the work that we’ve done over the last year and decade.
